Brushes needed
Natural bristle buffing brush for Bare Minerals Powder. Flat Kabuki brushes are great for buffing powder. (Morphe was discontinued)
Highlight brush for highlighter and/or setting under the eye. Morphe Brush is fantastic!
Dome eyeshadow brush. The set listed below has a great domed shadow brush
retractable brush for lipstick and/or concealer. This one is great because it’s double-ended. One side Lipstick and one side concealer for clean ups.
Small brush for under the eye. This is a great set for eyes! since you use shadow as liner, this angle brush is ideal.
Products needed
Banana powder for under eyes. This is a great drug store one. Banana Light by Makeup Revolution Its a tad lighter than the one we used so it’ll be more forgiving.
Sunscreen compatible with makeup. I LOVE this one! La Roche-Posay spa 50
Yellow corrector for cheeks. I used the Seint Y1 Demi Corrector on you. Comes in a tin to throw in your purse or put in a palette.
Slightly lighter peach corrector may be more forgiving. Seint Demi Corrector O1
Skin-colored (ish) eye shadow for blending eyes. Seint Cupcake Eyeshadow is a great matte finish.
Dollar store cosmetic containers for mixed lipsticks. Something like these that I use in touch up kits.
Notes
Combine liquid lipstick with lip balm or gloss to use what you’ve got. Can be dabbed on cheeks for blush too.
Place the peach corrector precisely where the discoloration is and tap in. Melt it into the skin. No corrector where there is no discoloration. A slightly lighter peach would be easier to blend and a better color for winter when you are most fair.
Keep Lumi product for days when you’re not going to wear makeup.
Spray setting spray on your brush to make a shimmer shadow more intense. Like a day to night bump up.
Application Notes
Wait 10 min minimum after skincare to begin makeup
Primers with no dimethicone. The Pearl highlighter is great all over the face to keep blending easy
Wait 5 min after primer to start makeup
Swipe foundation, don’t press or rub it in. Press with finger if trouble blending
Blend Contour/Bronzer up on the cheekbone. Make sure you apply right at the hairline
Bring Highlighter in a “C” around the outside of the eye, around the brow bone
Can use highlighter under the brow bone, right over the iris
Use same brush for bronzer and blush, but a separate one for highlighter
Use highlighter on eye lid on a no-makeup day to open eyes
Blend chin contour down the neckline
Apply the crease color with brows relaxed and eye looking straight forward. Trace lightly before buffing the shadow. Can look down to expose your lid vs raising brows.
Use skin colored shadow or setting powder for blending eyeshadow better
Sweep a small line of shadow under the eye, ending at the end of the lashes
Keep blush from the outside of the iris, going up cheekbone
Use setting spray all over face before blending the face
